WXRT DJ Terri Hemmert, Chicago's #1 Beatles fans and authority, continues to be the emcee for this huge Beatles event. Beginning Thursday, July 3rd. Last Practice - August 7th! Chicago's own Lanialoha Lee of the Old Town School of Folk Music and founder of Kupa'a Pacific Island Resouces, will be partnering with us in this special event. Lanialoha started the Pacific Island classes at the Old Town School including a children's class, "A Window To Polynesia". She is a highly-respected educator of the Hawaiian culture and professional musician and artist. Her wealth of knowledge and resources are a great asset! Mahalo to Lanialoha for her generous 'aloha spirit'! Oak Park artist Brenda Watkins will team up with Lanialoha in leading the Thursday night practices at Eastgate Cafe'. Open to everyone, young and old, beginners and advanced players. It's all about the music of the Beatles and love of the ukulele. "All We Are Saying, is...." to come with your ukulele, positive enthusiasm, and open-mind. There is no fee for attending these practices.
